I’d sacrifice all my April afterlight days,
for a hour to be with your paradise ashes.
Summer nights sweep away palm tree figurines.
They pirouette every high and low, I brush, bleed.
The waters of your ocean come down clean,
fusing together satin memories.
I wish I remembered to grasp every piece of you.
Maybe then you’d still be here,
spying over my shoulder.
You would’ve said,
Love grows stronger, as sunsets get older.
But two hearts like ours, will never burn closure.
And I would’ve believed your words,
for a lifetime—
for a moment—
for a second—
until I parted skies
and became
uneven stardust.
Great work! 🙂
Thank you!
Love it…
