Camp Nanowrimo July 2017

I’m so happy to announce that I’m participating in next month’s
Camp NaNoWriMo July 2017!

It’s been nearly two years since the last time I was involved in Camp NaNoWriMo (because life occurrences just LOVED getting in the way of my writing plans :/ ), and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’m currently in the middle of writing a rough outline of what I hope to write about this July. Since I consider myself both a pantser and a plotter, I usually like to leave room for creativity, but still incorporate some structure in my outlines. Having a loose idea of a writing plan prevents me from getting lost halfway through NaNoWriMo, giving me a sense of direction to stay on track.

Whether you’re participating in Camp NaNoWriMo July 2017 or not, I’d love to hear what writing projects you’re working on, so comment down below and let me know! 😉

  1. Camp NaNoWriMo sounds so exciting, best of luck with that!! 🙂 A writing project I’m currently working on is a poetry chapbook, which I hope to get published sometime this summer. I’ve never done anything like it, but it’s been very fun so far!

    • Awesome!!! I’m writing a poetry collection as well and a some chapters of a novel I’m working on. Aside from writing poetry, in my opinion, coming up with interesting ideas for poems is the best part of the process! Good luck with your writing journey!!

  2. Good luck! What’s your project about and are you going for the usual 50k?

I’m aiming for 30k, (with a side goal of 2hrs). My project is romance in a zombie, sort of apocalypse setting. I haven’t done much plotting because I want to just get stuck in!

    • That seems like it would be super fun to write!!!! I have a zombie romance novel in the works too behind a whole list of drafts of other novel ideas that I hope to work in the future. I plan to write a poetry collection and some chapters of romance novel. As for word count, I’ve done 30k in the past, but I’m being lenient on myself this July and just trying to write as much as I can each day. I wish you the best of luck on your novel writing process next month!
