Already Brisk

Already Brisk

At sunup,
legions of geese
part the path
streaked a ecru hazel glow.
Bronze balconies
open their
ancient metallic
gates.
I analyze
the trip they’ve
flown—
past sinewy clotheslines.
Wings swish;
flap commotion
across twelve
throbbing soft moments.
The spans
they have seen
must be
strangely remarkable.
First-class
talent
bedazzles
sparks Saranyu set alight.
My gown
smacks tendrils
of gusts
on their stale naked lips.
A starling
mumuration
fleet
conforms into shape.
Telephone
tower wires
soon get
weighted down heavily.
Breathtaking
sights dominate
the morning
I become enraptured.
Smudged black
blotchy flecks
glint; cornflower
blue consumes night.
I peel
away traces;
feathers
skid quill dust beauty.
Clouds
calm a distant
halo,
polishing its pretty self.
I elude
the whispers
carrion
creatures wouldn’t
want me to hear.
Sparkling
clementine
basks
already brisk.

  1. It was so beautiful ! The mesmerizing imagery you painted by your lovely words is simply amazing. Loved the touch of nature and lost in the thoughts of watching those legions of geese ^_^
