Sailor’s Fright

A moon cascades,
Peeking its craters
Beyond bluish waters.
Ships set sail across
Untamed charters.
The daylight fades.

Sailor’s fright pervades
During the trepid
Hours at sea.
Storm waves tilt
To the highest degree.
Dream settlements await.

One day a sailor girl proclaims:
“The nigh’ is risin’ shy
Like a coastal cry,
Where the stars
Meet their thunder alibi.”
Anchored ethereal heavens stay.
