Autumn Fairy

Wrinkled leaves from a maple tree
Colored copper, crimson, and gold
Are the wings of an autumn fairy
Fluttering through painted sunsets

Gathers acorns and pinecones
For autumn’s bountiful harvest
Lives in shady woodland forests
Near stagnant ponds & small streams

Dances to the beat of thriving suns
Wears burnt orange-green dresses
And a beret placed on top of her head
Uses a hint of laughing pixie magic

They walk on their tiny feet
Always scurrying for food
Then scavenging for adventure
Until petite darklings steal twilight
